How much are taxes in the US?

Taxes are the basis of revenue generated by the federal and state governments of the country. With that said, in terms of how much a taxpayer pays, that depends entirely on where the individual resides in the country, and how much income the individual makes in a given year. Tax rates differentiate from state to state. Some states are better off than others, usually revolving around the value of the state. States that are incredibly popular like California, New York, Texas, and Florida have higher tax rates. States like New Hampshire, Montana, Missouri, and Wisconsin have relatively lower taxes than those bigger states. Some states don't even have an income tax, but the tax rates for the other taxes owed like property, estate, sales, etc. are higher. This causes the cost of living to differ throughout the country, and such taxes will be different even if your income stays unchanged.
