What is taxation and why does it happen?
Taxation is the basis for how the government is able to operate the country in which they are appointed to do so. It is what pays for public buildings, national parks, public jobs, schools, the maintaining of our road systems and highways, raising federal and state armies and law and order. Taxation is what pays for our governmental departments to keep our country and economy stable. Without taxation, there would be no government or stability within a country. Taxation is when the federal and state governments collect a certain percentage of an individuals earned income throughout the year. Every citizen who earns wages, owns property, purchases consumer goods and services, etc. must pay a tax issued upon them by the government. These taxes can be based on income, property values of your home, location of where you live, and how often you purchase goods and services.
